A stay-at-home of 50 years of age threw boiling water on the face of her husband, a merchant, 56, on Sunday afternoon (12) during an argument in Serra (ES). He was taken to hospital and was discharged on Monday (13).

Police said he does not understand the reason for the aggression, and the woman said she acted in self defense.

"I do not understand the reason for the aggression. She heated the water and threw it at me. We did not fight and I did not strike. I've hit her, but it was many years ago. I do not want to continue with this woman," said the merchant, while leaving the hospital.
