FEAR AND REVOLT

HOMELESS AND DOG
People beaten, burned, humiliated, abused by public officials. And dead. "This is the situation that the homeless are experiencing every day." The Minister for Human Rights, Maria do Rosario and representatives from various ministries attended the meeting Thursday (15), in Brasilia.
According to the National Center for Human Rights of the Homeless Population and Collectors [CNDH], created last year, at least 165 homeless people were murdered in Brazil between April 2011 and last week.

In most cases (113), police have no clues of criminals. And while the intersectoral committee discussed the content of the letter of repudiation of the crimes reported recently, a new case was reported in the City of Linhares, north coast of Espirito Santo, where a 16 year old set fire to four homeless.
Minister Maria do Rosario said "that the Brazilian government has a budget and conditions, but needs help from states and municipalities".
