Complexo do Alemão - Community located in the north of Rio de Janeiro, Center for Social Action through Music of Brazil (Ação Social pela Música do Brasil).

Young Musicians

200 children between six and 17 years of age, take classes in musical theory and perception, choral, instrumental and practical activity through orchestral violins, violas, cellos and basses.
With support of the School Corcovado (escola Corcovado) and Consulate General of Germany, the Social Action for Music of Brazil also works in Community of Dona Marta - covering neighboring communities Pavão - Pavãozinho, Chapéu Mangueira and Babilônia (Babylon) - and the City of God (Cidade de Deus).

Edvan Moraes Junior, musical conductor, conducted the Youth Orchestra, from Complexo do Alemão, which performed at the Santuario da Penha, last Sunday, 20, in the suburb of Rio de Janeiro.
