The Brazilian student Roberto Laudisio Curti, 21, was under the influence of LSD when he was killed by police in Sydney, Australia, in March this year. According to the police investigation, released in court hearing on the case on Monday, the student suffered an adverse reaction to the drug and died after the police firing on him 14 times with a Taser gun, a weapon that emits electric shocks. The Australian media reported on Tuesday a video from a security camera that shows the time of the arrest of the student. The pictures show the boy screaming for help and being hit by shots even immobilized.

The family of the young man in Brazil questions the brutality of the police, who said the boy was armed when he had stolen a packet of biscuits from a convenience store. The aunt and godmother of Robert, Patricia Laudisio, said officers had "a morbid pleasure in murdering" his nephew.

 
 I was surprised by the fact that he had consumed LSD. He was not a drug user. But that does not justify such brutality. He should have been supported, helped, led to an emergency room. I found the scenes very strong and we are all very shaken. He was shirtless, unarmed, it is ridiculous to speak in that eleven police investigation failed to catch a boy of 1.70 meters and 75 kilograms. Why they had morbid pleasure, sadism, murdering Roberto? Just wanted this explanation from the Australian government - Patricia says.

Roberto died from asphyxiation after receiving the shots of the Taser, and pepper gas. According to the Australian press, he celebrated St. Patrick's Day with friends when he consumed a small amount of LSD. The student would have been lost from the group and was involved in a fight before being arrested by police. The newspapers have reported further that he phoned his sister at dawn, around 4h30min, and asked if "they were trying to kill him." Less than two hours later, at 6h11min, was already dead.
